Altar Servers
Children who have made their First Holy Communion and attend Mass regularly may become an Altar Server. For more information, you can fill out a form here

Altar Society
The Altar Society washes the linens used at the altar. This ministry’s schedule is dependent on availability of volunteers, usually 3-4 weeks per rotation. For more information, please contact the office (806) 763-4156.

Behold The Man
The Mission of Behold The Man is to prepare, strengthen, and sustain Our Lady of Grace Men to live out our Vocations and provide a format for accountability, discipline, encouragement and support with a focus on:
Prayer- Spiritual leaders in our family and community
Prayer- Spiritual leaders in our family and community
Protector-Be vigilant for attacks visible and invisible, both worldly and spiritually
Providers-Be leaders in our Domestic church (homes) by providing materially and spiritually for our families and communities

Environmental Group

Eucharistic Ministers
Eucharistic Ministers serve Communion to parishioners during Mass. Ministers are also trained to take Communion to the homebound. Guadalupanas/Guadalupanos
Faith based organizations for men and women. Support our parish life and promote devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe through the recitation of the rosary and participation of Eucharistic celebration. To become a Guadalupana/Guadalupano, please contact the office (806) 763-4156.

Lectors-Prayer for Lectors
As a messenger of God's love for us all. Oh Holy Spirit, open my heart to that which I proclaim. Be with me as I study the Scripture and prepare the Word which is yours to speak. Grant me your gift of understanding so that the passage may dwell deep within me.
Lectors proclaim the Word of God at the ambo during Mass. If you are interested in becoming a lector, please contact Melinda Ledesma
[email protected] or call the office (806) 763-4156.*The following requirements should be met if you wish to serve as a Lector.
- A liturgical minister should be a registered parishioner of Our Lady of Grace, Lubbock
- Lectors are fully initiated, practicing Catholics whose lives witness to the Word which they proclaim. On special occasions and for pastoral reasons, a young person who is not yet fully initiated (i.e. confirmed and has received First Eucharist) may be permitted to lector during a liturgy. Proper training, however, is expected.
- Liturgical ministers must be properly trained. This ministry of the Word requires skill in public reading, knowledge of the principles of liturgy, and an understanding of the scriptures. Only properly trained and commissioned lectors should be scheduled for liturgy. (GIRM 101, LM Intro 14) For pastoral reasons family members or friends may be allowed to read during funeral or wedding liturgies even though they are not formally trained and commissioned as lectors. The parish should provide assistance to them so that God's Word is properly proclaimed.
- All lectors should be commissioned for their ministry, preferably during a Sunday Mass. The blessing used for this commissioning is found in the Book of Blessings. (Chapter 61)
- Those who are presently lectors should periodically participate in enrichment programs.

Media Ministry
Media Technicians run the PowerPoint presentations (music, prayers, etc.) during Mass. Training is provided, however, some basic computer skills are required. To join, please contact Maria Kopel, [email protected] or call the office (806) 763-4156.
