Parents are the primary religious educators of their children. (CCC1653) CCE teaches children the Catholic faith based on the grade level of the children.
The home is where a child should first experience the Catholic Faith. Our CCE program aims to work in partnership with parents, to assist them in living that faith.
CCE teachers complement your child's religious education, not replace the catechesis that children should be receiving in the home.
Penance
Not only does the Sacrament of Penance free us from our sins but it also challenges us to have the same kind of compassion and forgiveness for those who sin against us. We are liberated to be forgivers. We obtain new insight into the words of the Prayer of St. Francis:
"It is in pardoning that we are pardoned."
Jesus entrusted the miinistry of reconciliation to the Church. The Sacrament of Penance is God's gift to us so that any sin committed after Baptism can be forgiven. In confession we have the opportunity to repent and recover the grace of friendship with God. It is a holy moment in which we place ourselves in his presence and honestly acknowledge our sins, especially mortal sins. With absolution, we are reconciled to God and the Church. The Sacrament helps us stay close to the truth that we cannot live without God. "In him we live and move and have our being". (Acts 17:28).

What is the Eucharist?
The Eucharist is the sacrament of thanksgiving to God, which constitutes the principal Catholic Christian liturgical celebration of our participation in communion with the paschal mystery of Jesus. Because the Eucharist is Jesus, it is the source and summit of our Catholic faith. Through our participation in the Eucharist, we grow closer to God and one another.
What does it mean that Jesus Christ is prent in the Eucharist under the appearances of bread and wine? How does this happen? The presence of the risen Christ in the Eucharist is an inexhaustible mystery that the Church can never fully explain in words. We must remember that the triune God is the creator of all that exists and has the power to do more than we can possibly imagine. God created the world in order to share his life with persons who are not God. This great plan of salvation reveals a wisdom that surpasses our understanding. But we are not left in ignorance: for out of his love for us, God reveals his truth to us in ways that we can understand through the gift of faith and the grace of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us. We are thus enabled to understand at least in some measure what would otherwise remain unknown to us, though we can never completely comprehend the mystery of God.
